How to Delete a Pinterest Board Without Losing It by Mistake

To delete a Pinterest board, open the board, choose the edit option, select Delete, and confirm. Deleting removes every Pin saved to that board. Pinterest currently gives you seven days to restore a deleted board from Recently deleted, but restoration is available only on desktop or Android.

Archive or delete?

Delete a Pinterest board on desktop

1. Log in and open your profile.

2. Open the board you want to remove.

3. Select the edit control beside the board name.

4. Choose Edit board if Pinterest shows an intermediate menu.

5. Select Delete at the bottom-left.

6. Select Delete forever to confirm.

Read the board name twice before the last click. Similar cover images make the wrong board surprisingly easy to open.

Delete a board on Android

1. Open Pinterest and go to your profile.

2. Tap Boards. Business accounts may show Saved instead.

3. Open the board.

4. Tap the menu at the top-right and choose Edit board.

5. Scroll down and tap Delete or Delete board.

6. Confirm deletion.

Delete a board on iPhone or iPad

1. Open the Pinterest app and your profile.

2. Tap Boards, or Saved on a business profile.

3. Open the board and tap the top-right menu.

4. Select Edit board.

5. Scroll down, choose Delete board, then confirm Delete forever.

Pinterest's current help page says deleted boards cannot be restored on iOS. Use desktop or Android during the seven-day window.

Restore a deleted Pinterest board

On desktop, open your profile and Saved tab, scroll to Recently deleted boards, choose Restore Boards, select the board, and restore it.

On Android, open your profile, tap Boards, scroll to Recently deleted, tap Restore, select the board, and confirm. If the board is not there, check the account, deletion date, and whether seven days have passed.

Archive a board instead

Open the board, select its menu, choose Archive, and confirm. Pinterest places archived boards below your active boards. You can unarchive them later, but you cannot save new Pins to an archived board.

For business cleanup, archive first. Review analytics, link health, and seasonal value before deleting anything — a board that looks dead in January may be your best performer in October. Pinterest says pins can gain engagement months or years later, and a deleted board takes that tail with it.

Pause at the confirmation screen

Archive when you are undecided. Delete when the board is truly redundant and its Pins have been moved or are no longer useful. That ten-second check is cheaper than trying to remember a board after the recovery window has closed.
